Please find attached the tee times for Westwood Plateau for this Sunday. Reminder on the event:

Event: Horse Race* – Instructions are below; Match Play Round 2 & catch up
Note: We were advised by the course that they are going through a renovation of all sand bunkers for the 2025 season. As of this point, they told us that they have finished six holes but the remaining holes have not been completed yet and are not in good condition. Therefore, the Executive Committee made a decision to play all bunkers at Westwood as Ground Under Repair (GUR) for this round only. This means that all golfers get free relief from bunkers on Sunday… it’s easier to remember instead of listing out the holes that have been renovated.

Relief Options (rule 16.1):
Free Relief: If the player chooses to take relief, they must find the nearest point of complete relief (where the GUR no longer interferes) and drop the ball within one club length of that point, not closer to the hole

HORSE RACE RULES:

· All VCGC members playing with a course handicap are eligible to be picked ( guests and social members are excluded). See the attached spreadsheet for the names of who are playing this Sunday; do not pick those in YELLOW.

· Pick any 2 players as a team… you can pick yourself in a team, or choose two other players. Owner(s) of the top 3 teams (lowest total net score) win – amount depends on # of entries, and we will likely split the pot into: 60% for 1st place (and ties), 30% for 2nd place (and ties), and 10% for 3rd place (and ties).

· $5.00 entry per 2-person team. Maximum three picks per golfer.

Total owing: $15.00

We will publish all picks by Saturday night so all picks need to be done via email… we will not be taking teams on Sunday morning at the course – therefore, please reply by Saturday, July 5th at noon with your picks, or let us know if you are not going to participate. Thank you!
