Welcome everyone to a new golfing season! With April upon us, the weather is beginning to warm up, and golf courses are expected to be in excellent shape.
We are excited to offer another engaging season, featuring a diverse mix of courses and fun events. This year, we welcome back two courses that have previously been part of our rotation: Point Roberts Golf Club and Meadow Gardens. Regrettably, University Golf Club has advised that their renovations are taking longer than planned, so we hope to include them in next year’s schedule.
As global uncertainties continue, including wars and rising oil prices, costs are increasing across the board, and golf is no exception. We have experienced a rise in green fees, which has led to a slight increase in our membership dues for 2026. The fee this year is $175 per member for the season. We believe this still represents excellent value, as it includes your initiation night dinner, the Friday night dinner before the Calcutta, and likely the year-end dinner as well (pending a mid-season financial review). As always, We appreciate and value the ongoing support of members and those who sponsor the VCGC.
Smoker / Initiation Night Dinner Invitation
We would like to invite both returning members and newcomers to our Smoker / Initiation Night dinner. The details are as follows:
- DATE: SUNDAY, APRIL 26TH
- TIME: 6:00PM
- PLACE: Tin Tin Seafood Harbour Restaurant, 3711 Number 3 Rd, Richmond, BC
As noted above, your membership dues include this dinner! If you wish to bring a guest, the cost is $70 per person. Please remember to bring cash or a cheque to pay at the Smoker.
If you know someone who might be interested in joining, feel free to forward this message or bring them along. We are requesting RSVPs to confirm numbers with the restaurant. Please respond to this email with a YES or NO, and indicate the number in your party if you plan to attend.
